Our story
From weekend projects with dad to running the company
It all started in 1998, when Rafael Aguilar Sr. entered the hardscape industry. For nearly two decades he honed his craft, building a reputation for quality work and genuine customer care throughout Southwest Florida.
Growing up, Rafael Jr. spent countless weekends alongside his father — mixing materials, laying pavers and absorbing every lesson about craftsmanship and dedication. What started as helping dad became a passion that would shape his future.
In 2015, Rafael Sr. made it official and founded RL Installers. After graduating from Naples High School in 2021, Rafael Jr. stepped up to run daily operations, bringing fresh energy and a vision for the company’s future.
Today, Rafael Jr. is completing his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management at Everglades University — bringing modern technology, streamlined processes and an elevated customer experience to RL Installers. Old-school craftsmanship meets next-generation innovation.

“RL Installers did an excellent job for the Vanderbilt Reserve HOA. They repaired and reset over half of the pavers on our pool deck, which were being affected by palm tree roots. They carefully removed the pavers, dug out all the roots, re-sanded and reset the pavers. The crew worked efficiently in extremely hot temperatures and were very polite and friendly. Rafael was easy to work with and provided the initial inspection and a very competitive proposal in a timely manner.”
